FOR PARTICIPANTS:
It’s downhill! Fans line either side of Nationwide Boulevard to cheer you down those final few hundred feet.
Once you’ve completed your journey, grab your medal, photos and food bag, and then head over to Celebration Village with live bands, kids inflatables and the smell of sweet victory!
FOR SPECTATORS:
For those heading to the finish line, you’re welcome to be on either side of Nationwide Boulevard. Once the race is over, there is a restricted area where runners pick up their medals and food bags. You’ll be able to catch up with marathoners at Celebration Village in the Arena District at McPherson Commons (aka Arch Park). There are shaded areas to relax, kids inflatables for youngsters to let off some steam and live music to keep you energized after the race. It’s a great location to celebrate the accomplishments of runners and walkers.
THE PARTNERSHIP CONTINUES
Nationwide Children’s Hospital is honored to be the title beneficiary for the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Columbus Marathon & 1/2 Marathon for the second year.
The 2013 event raised $1.25 million and counting for Nationwide Children's Hospital in the second year of the partnership. This includes a $200,000 contribution from the Columbus Marathon board of trustees; $100,000 of that contribution will be directed to the Pulmonary Department at Nationwide Children's in honor of long-time Columbus Marathon volunteers Brent and Catherine LaCount and their daughter, Berkley.
