FOR PARTICIPANTS:

Mile ten features one of the course’s most distinctive stretches. Athletes will race through the heart of German Village. Crowds will line both sides of the street, creating a loud, festive atmosphere. The course is flat through the German Village, with only a few sharp turns to consider. Competitors will eventually turn north on High Street for a quick uphill as they head back into downtown Columbus and pass the other side of the start line at the Ohio Statehouse. The High Street portion of the course is a gradual uphill straightaway for approximately three miles that runs from the base of German Village until The Ohio State University Campus.

Marathoners, you are now at the halfway point. Make sure to stay to the right on High Street as you approach the Short North.That’s because 1/2 Marathoners will be in the homestretch when they turn left onto Nationwide Blvd. from High Street. Thousands of cheering fans will be there to greet you as you run DOWNHILL to a picture perfect finish.​

FOR SPECTATORS:​

German Village has several shops and restaurants that are open race day. If you’re looking for outdoor activities, Schiller Park is a great place to watch runners and run around yourself. The cloverleaf course makes it easy for you to watch the start, and then walk to German Village or the Finish Line.

Celebration Village is a great place to meet friends and family after the race. There are shaded areas to relax, kids inflatables for youngsters to let off some steam and live music to keep you energized after the race. It’s a great location to celebrate the accomplishments of runners and walkers.
